Persons with disabilities at Irada Center doing final exams for the first phase of the UNDP’s project for women and youth in Gaza.
Irada Center for Rehabilitation and Vocational Training of People with Disability has finished the first phase of ” Gaza Youth and Women Employment ” project, which is generously funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation and implemented under the supervision of the UNDP/PAPP.
“ Gaza Youth and Women Employment ” poured on training (45) persons with a mobility impairment so that they can be integrated into the business market aftermath the training would be ended. The students have lasted six months in the first phase, learning, at Irada, the techniques of Sewing, Design & E-Marketing, Maintenance of Mobile & Smart devices and Winding & Maintenance of Transformers & Electric Motors.
During the first-phase-vocational training, the students have acquired multiple skills that would polish their work in the four former training sectors. The training has rehabilitated them in league with the requirements of the business market, their ability of learning, their educational degree and their health condition.
The selection process has done in participation with the Ministry of Labor and the Ministry of Social Development as the graduates would be provided with accredited certificates from the Ministry of Labor. Mr. Ahmed El Nabris accompanied with Mr. Raed Abu Shahla, representatives from the Ministry of Labor, were on behalf of the exams’ progress.
Now that the first phase has ended, action plans for the second phase are going to be precisely on offering temporal employment for graduates of the privet sectors in order to reintegrate them once again in the business market.
