IUG Dean of CSCE Visits Tampere University

Under the umbrella of academic exchange, Prof. Said Al-Ghora, IUG Dean of Community Service and Continuing Education (CSCE), paid a superb visit to Tampere University (TAU) in Finland.

The visit incepted by meeting the TAU Coordinator of the International Education Office Ms. Katarina Stahli. The second place he visited was the Faculty of Medicine, then the scientific research laboratories as well the clinical skills labs where he met specialists and academics and did great discussions with them.

This remarkable meeting was also in accompany of Ms.  Maria Ruokonen, Coordinator from Y-kampus Programme, which is similar to the Business and Technology Incubator (BTI).  Ms. Maria presented the nature of the work at Y-kampus that it has provided entrepreneurship and innovation services to the students and staff of the three universities in Tampere. Likewise, Prf. Al-Ghora provided a detailed presentation about BTI services and projects. Possible ways of collaboration were discussed after holding a video-conference meeting with BTI staff at the Islamic University of Gaza.

Prof. Al-Ghora also met the Finnish FinPal project team and presented the activities and projects of the IUG Deanship for Community Services and Continuing Education. The IUG- Tampere cooperation has been evolving during a meeting of Prof. Said’s visit to Tampere which was organized within the Erasmus+ ICM project. More importantly, this visit has planted the seeds for future collaborations between both universities.
