IUG Wins Second Position in Regional Research Competition

Mohamed Abdel Karim Ali al-Farra, a graduate from IUG Faculty of Sharia and Law, won on his research: “The rights of missing persons and their families in light of the International humanitarian law and Human rights law “, the second place in a research competition organized by (CRC) Red Cross Committee of the Arab World.

The research competition contained about (40) research for university professors and PHD & MA students from seven Arab countries. The first five winning research were announced by three- experts committee from ICRC, and there will be a possibility for publishing the winning research in one of ICRC publications, in a book or magazine.

 (ICRC) extended thanks and appreciation to the Regional Office of International Humanitarian Law in Cairo, for their promotion of the understanding and dialogue of the international humanitarian law. The office contribution centered at writing the second research competition topic in the Arabic language.
