In collaboration with the Prime Minister Office in Japan and the Government of Singapore, IUG did participate in the two-day workshop held at the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). JICA’s workshop is included in the CEAPAD project, and in coordination with the Palestinian Prime Minister’s office through the Ministry of Communications. The aim of the workshop was to present two inspiring experiences that reckoned to be good examples of development and essential to be followed by developers and entrepreneurs here in Palestine.
Firstly, the participants were introduced to the Japanese system in the fields of communications, Information Technology, Policies and Strategies which designed to support the system of innovation and development in Japan.
Secondly, the workshop presented the experience of the state of Singapore in developing the leadership and innovation sector and applying the suitable mechanism of working in several fields, especially in the field of communication and information technology. In addition, the workshop shed lights on Singapore’s strategy in developing the entrepreneurial sector and the supportive environment, clarifying the role of government and the private sector.
