The Royal Liverpool Hospital Visits IUG

 

IUG Faculty of Medicine received a British medical delegation from the Royal Liverpool Hospital, specializing in the field of Nephrectomy & Kidney transplantation.  

Prof. Abdul Khader Hammad, Chairman of the Organ Transplantation Department at Royal Liverpool Hospital- UK, led the medical delegation to the IUG students. He created deep discussions about some medical issues, giving scientific lecturer soon afterword on “Kidney transplantation” in light of the Liverpool team experience in Gaza Strip hospitals for six years. During lectures, Prof. Hammad presented a diagnosis for treatment of pathological cases, as well as raising several scientific questions and discussing them with students. The delegation indicated the readiness of the Royal Liverpool team to receive IUG medical students for training within the optional courses.

With a spirit of honor and welcoming words, the dean of Medicine Faculty Prof. Fadel Naeem highly appreciated the existence of the delegation between IUG porches. He hoped the joint cooperation continues and contributes to the capacities’ development of the medical students. Prof. Naeem thanked the medical delegation for their efforts in providing practical and scientific expertise to the students.

At the end of the meeting, the delegation toured the scientific laboratories and training facilities of the Faculty of Medicine. The British delegation expressed its admiration for the advanced level of the faculty and the diversity of its training and theoretical facilities.
