IUG Women’s Studies Center has recently held a workshop, entitled “Research Priorities in Woman’s Issues” to discuss the prospects and brand-new research issues that target woman, precisely, in the society.
The workshop successfully held in the presence of the Faculty Education Dean Prof. Mohammed Abushgair, SHE-GE project manager Prof. Sanaa Aboudagga, alongside, representatives from Ministry of Women Affairs, Ministry of Culture, and Faculty of education at Al Azhar University and Al Aqsa University.
In his speech, Prof. Elian Al Houli, Deputy Dean of Faculty of Education, praised the efforts of the Faculty’s centers especially the Women’s Studies Center and mentioned its role in enhancing the status of women in various aspects of life.
The Director of Women’s Studies Center prof. Khitam Al-Sahhar talked about the Center’s mission, clarifying more of its objectives and activities held at the center.
The Director of BERC project Prof. Wael Al-Dayea highlighted the “SDGs – 5th Goal, Gender Equality” of the UN, showing several Palestinian statistics of women in a number of areas including public life, education, health, and Labour.
