Commerce Faculty Participates In Intellectual Capital Conference

The Dean of Commerce Faculty Prof. Mohammed Miqdad has participated in the conference, entitled “Intellectual capital: Opportunities and challenges” which held by Jordan University and took place at AyaSofia Hotel, Istanbul, from 28-30 April 2017.  The conference aimed at finding common academic and scientific dialogue on one of the most contemporary issues, the intellectual capital.

The conference tackled different scopes: marketing and managing dimension, accounting and financial dimension, intellectual capital economics, the role of public sector & Information Technology in managing and developing the intellectual capital.

Prof. Miqdad was a keynote at one of the conference sessions, his paper clarifies the role of intellectual capital in achieving the competitive advantage of Islamic financial industries.

The Participants’ discussions were revolving around the educational system and community values, and the role of educational policies and national culture in affecting the intellectual capital; additionally to, the leading contributions of women in building the Intellectual capital, technology, and knowledge management.

In the sidelines of the conference, Prof. Mekdad signed a cooperative agreement with Jordan Al-Nabaa Foundation for managing and organizing international conferences and exhibitions, Amman, to hold three international and Arab conferences over the next three years.

The Conferences’ proposals have the following titles:

1-      “The Role of Leadership and Freelancing in Stimulating Business sector”.

2-      “Crises Management in Times of Peace and War”.

3-      “The Role of Islamic Finance Departments in Developing and Developed Countries”.
