Academician Gets Research Fellowship From Durham University

The Associate Professor of TEFL & curriculum development at English department prof. Nazmi Al-Masri has gotten an international research fellowship from the University of Durham, one of the best five universities from (150) British Universities according to the latest four British classifications in 2018: Ukuni, Complete University Guide, Time, and Guardian.

Prof. Al-Masri has been selected to visit Britain for three months to conduct qualitative research within the fellowship he received after winning a proposed research, entitled “Innovating a pedagogy of plenty in intercultural education”.

The research aims at creating an international pedagogical approach that contributes to understanding the environmental and cultural influences very well. In addition, the approach can help find new educational channels to improve the understanding of other cultures. Moreover, promoting a good cultural networking seeks to build bridges of understanding and cooperation between Palestinian students at the Islamic University and their British and European peers within an international, multilingual and multicultural learning environment.

It is noteworthy that Prof. El-Masri is currently running several international academic projects with three European universities in Britain, Germany, and Finland.
