IUG has recently signed a cooperative agreement with Gaza Desteck Organization aims at providing (60) scholarships to undergraduate students to enable them fulfill their academic registration in the second semester of 2017-2018. The agreement has been signed by the Dean of Foreign Affairs Prof. Ahmed Mohaisen with the Director of the organization’s office Eng. Hani Thoraya.
In a related context, the General Conference Hall witnessed disseminating the scholarships by the Resources Development Center, in the presence of the Head of Scholarships Department Eng. Alaa Al Hasheem, and the Director of Gaza Destek Eng. Hani Thorya.
Eng. Al Hasheem praised the continuous role of G.D.D in alleviating the difficult economic situation through supporting students in need, noting out that such scholarships push students to keep going along the path of success.
Eng. Thorya confirmed that G.S.D is keen to provide all support to the Palestinian community, especially, during these tough conditions that have been storming with the strip. It’s noteworthy that the selection of students depends mostly on specific criteria: the student must not be awarded any scholarships before, the student must have a high university average, and must have a sibling at the university.
