For the first time of launching the academicians’ assessment policy that targets shortcomings to be rectified, the Deanship of Quality and Development and the Academic Affairs have awarded the distinctive academicians who won the highest ratings at their faculties. This comes as a mean to continue dignifying scholars’ endeavors in promoting lifelong learning through advancing the educational process. The best way of ensuring this university remains a masterpiece is by preparing an academic staff equipped with high skills and armed with advanced knowledge which is what IUG has long been doing for years, the president of IUG reported. As Prof. Nasser Farahat was glorious for having those distinctive academicians at IUG, he called for developing the measurement tool by updating continually the standards to be accorded with the demands of progress and competition. “The academicians’ assessment policy is necessary for each educational institution seeks to cultivate the academic staff and raise its position to the top”, Prof. Salem Hilles, Vice president for academic affairs said. Prof. Mohammed Hanjoree, Dean of Quality and Development, noted that this ceremony is a thanking word to boost the academician steadfastness at the path of benevolence.

On behalf of the distinctive academicians, Prof. Alayan Al-Holy praised IUG role in keeping the pace with most advanced prospects of learning, adding that IUG since its establishment has introduced diverse services to society. Ultimately, he clarified some commitments the academician must follow; he mentioned that a professor has to help and guide students, develop their ideas, and rectify attitudes and values. The university professor must adhere to the ethics of the profession and the neutrality when evaluating students.
