Traumatic Events and Children’s Sleep
The purpose is to alleviate the severity of crises hat the Palestinian children have been exposed to.
With the cooperation of Norwegian Refugee Council, The psychology Department at Education Faculty held a scientific day entitled of “Traumatic Experiences & Sleep Problems of Children”. The day held at the General Conference Hall, in the presence of NRC Director in Gaza Prf. Enger Ana, and the Chairman of Learning Program at NRC Prof. Amjad Jomaa. Additionally to students and members of Education faculty.
The opening session
In the opening session, Prof, Abu-Shuqeer indicated the importance of holding such day, which reported under the framework of students’ practical training & benefiting from participants’ experiences. He commended the ongoing role of NRC in buttress the practical and extracurricular activities carried out at the faculty.
While Prof. Tahrawi detailed about the faculty Deanship role in supporting all activities that better the ways of introducing curricula to students, give great attention to cooperative agreements signed with different institutions, as well. In this respect, Prof. Ana did Praise IUG efforts to provide all modern facilities and advanced applications to students. “For Better learning” program has been implemented in many schools & universities in agreement with Higher Education Ministry. The purpose is to alleviate the severity of crises that the Palestinian children have been exposed to. Therefore, she has appreciated all partnerships that lightening the traumas’ severity and called for reinforcing them.
Prof. Joma saw Gaza Strip a fertile soil to implement the practical experiences since it has been witnessed dilemmas and calamities extended to include all segments of society.
