IUG Academic at IAS Academic Colleagues

In its annual conference, which is held to discuss the reality of science ,technology and research in the Islamic World, and offer projects for the topics required from governments, institutions, and Islamic Universities, IUG Physics Professor, Mohammed Shabat was chosen to join the list  the Islamic Academy for Science colleagues. Prof. Shabat pointed out that at the end of the conference, new colleagues are nominated for the academy, and that he was nominated four years ago. He also considered being a colleague at IAS is a gain for Palestine since he is the first Palestinian colleague in the academy, and an honoring gain for IUG.Prof. Shabat also said that IAS includes the best scientists in the world, and aims at advising governments, politicians and decision-makers in the field of science and technology.

It is worth to mention that Prof. Shabat has got many scientific prizes including, Galileo International Prize for Optics 2006, Abdel Hamid Shoman Prize for Arab young scientists in 1996, and IUG Prize for scientific research. He has also got many scholarships such as and Ad-Dad, Alexander ,in light of which he finished all physics work. He has also got the trust of one of the International Union for Pure and Applied Physics, which is the International Institution for Optics, and he is the first Arabic scientist joining the judges of Galileo International Prize for Optics.Prof. Shabat also spent sabbatical, the last of which was sabbatical in Max Blank Institute in Dursun in Germany. It was proceeded by an external scientific journey resulted in wide relations in Britain, Germany and Egypt, and he collaborates with heir universities in most of their scientific product in the German  Duisburg-Essen University.
