A delegation from Hamad Medical Corporation in Qatar visited the Islamic University. The delegation was represented by Dr. Wafaa Alyazidi, Director of Medical Rehabilitation Department at Hamad Medical Corporation, and Dr. Amer Hawafezah, Head of Prosthetics Department at Alramilah hospital in Qatar.
The delegation was received by Dr. Said Algrhorrah, Dean of Community Service and Continous Education, Dr. Raed Salhah, Assistant of Vice President for External Affairs, Dr. Mosheer Amer, Director of Public Relations Department, and Mr. Hussam Aish, Director of Community Development Institute.
The delegation had a tour inside the university including programs of deaf students and students with physical disabilities. The visit also aims to know more about the potentials and achievements of the project “Irada”, vocational rehabilitation and training project for Gaza war victims.
During the visit, ways of joint cooperation were discussed regarding launching a private business incubator for deaf students’ creative projects. Better attention will be given to the programmes that involve educating the community about the deaf and the physically disabled.
