The Islamic University in Gaza celebrated the opening of the third exhibition for entrepreneurial companies that comes at the end of “Mobaderoon 3” project which supports youth entrepreneurship in the Gaza Strip. The project is implemented by the Deanship of Community Service and Continuous Education in cooperation with the Business and Technology Incubator at the university and the Palestinian Information and Communication Technology Association.
It is funded by the Islamic Development Bank and the Arab Monetary Fund for social development, and supervised by the Welfare Association. The exhibition will continue until the 28th of September 2016.

The opening ceremony was attended by Dr. Mufid Alhasainah, Minister of Public Works and Housing, Prof. Adel Awadallah, President of IUG, Dr. Saeid Alghorrah, Dean of Community Service and Continuous Education, Eng. Fadi Alhendi, Director of the Welfare Association, Gaza branch. Also, a group of representatives from leading institutions and companies in the field of communication and information technology and members of the supervisory Committee in “Mobaderoon 3” project attended the ceremony as well as a group of high school and university students.
In his speech during the opening ceremony, Dr Alhasainah appreciated the leading role of the Islamic University in serving various sectors of the community.
He praised the powerful will of the Palestinian people which challenges the tough circumstances resulted from the siege. He also stressed that the Palestinian youths are Gaza’s greatest treasure, and called the Palestinian factions to participate, hand in hand, in the construction and development of the Palestinian society.
Youth’s Need for Creativity
Dr. Awadallah pointed out that the conclusion of “Mobaderoon 3” projects coincided with the beginning of the olive harvest season. He said that both occasions meet in the concept of getting the “fruits”. He also noted that the true affiliation of the students and the entrepreneurs to the Islamic University has a big role in these achievements.
Dr. Awadallah confirmed that the graduates need ambition as much as they need education. He talked about the university’s pride of the projects incubated by “Mobaderoon 3”, and stressed on the fact that young people need creativity and uniqueness, noting that the university supports teleworking values
The Ability to Compete
Eng. Alhendi explained that the Welfare Association gives a great importance to the entrepreneurial projects as well as the various youth groups. He noted that the association will continue doing its developmental job despite the worsening conditions. Eng. Alhendi talked about the programmes provided by the Welfare Association to develop the qualifications of young people so they can have the ability to compete. He also praised the significant role of the Islamic University and other cooperators and investors in “Mobaderoon 3” project.
At the end, he sent two messages. The first was to the entrepreneurs where he encouraged them to work hard and be serious and sincere in their work to be able to add to the Palestinian economy. The second was to the Palestinian youth encouraging them to speak up the creative ideas that the labor market and Palestinian society need.
The opening session included a photo display for the 23 projects and companies incubated by “Mobaderoon 3” project, and another one for the project’s achievements.
