In cooperation with the Palestinian Fund for Relief and Development, Funded by Interpal, IUG’s External Relations concluded a project entitled “Rehabilitation of scholarships’ researchers”.
Dr. Ahmed Muheisen –Assistant to Vice President for External Affairs, Eng. Mahmoud Lubbad –Director of the Regional Gaza Office for Interpal Foundation, and Mr. Husam Ayesh, Coordinator of the Project, along with the trainers and trainees of the project attended the meeting.

Dr. Muheisen pointed out that the project has benefited 65 students and graduates from the Islamic University in the field of proposal writing and postgraduate study. Students were instructed on how to get grants, and develop their level of English to prepare them to compete on various grant opportunities.
Dr. Muheisen explained that such projects come as part of the university’s plan to develop its graduates’ skills and increase their academic and educational chances. Dr. Muheisen praised the great role played by Interpal in improving the academics of the students at Palestinian universities.

Mr. Ayesh explained the importance these projects in the development of researchers and their skills, preparing them to compete and obtain external grants, and allowing them to actively participate in the community. Mr. Ayesh stressed that ambition is the key to achieving one’s goals. He urged the students to constantly seek development and assert their role in the community.
Mr. Lubbad stated that Interpal is a charity organization designed to aid the development of the Palestinians through the implementation of projects and various programs, especially in the field of education. Mr. Lubad praised the foundation’s strong relationship with the Islamic University that stems from a sense of responsibility towards youth, the most important segments of Palestinian society.
During the award ceremony, certificates were distributed to the trainers of the project and benefited students.
