Director of UNRWA Operations in Gaza Mr. Bo Schack congratulated the IUG graduates of the Faculty of Education on their academic achievements, as persons who have worked hard and will contribute as the next generation of leaders in Gaza.

Mr. Bo Schack reaffirmed that education is a fundamental human right and essential for the exercise of all other human rights, adding that UNRWA has been exerting great efforts in providing education to Palestinians in order to give them hope for a better future.
Mr. Bo Schack extended his thanks to the teachers, academics and all university staff for their commitment and support to students who are graduating from one or more of the university’s 11 faculties this week.
Mr. Bo schack added that education is a powerful tool by which economically and socially marginalized adults and children can lift themselves out of poverty and participate fully as citizens.

Dr. Mohammed Al-Aklouk, deputy chairman of IUG Board of Trustees and Prof. Adel Awadallah, IUG President, and senior university staff welcomed Mr. Bo Schack at the University.
This talk was delivered during the fifth day of the 35th Class Graduation Ceremonies of the Islamic University of Gaza. In this graduation ceremony, more than 1,700 students are graduating ; more than 63,000 graduated from IUG since its establishment in 1978.
The Graduation Ceremonies of this class has been started in July 23, 2016 till August 1, 2016 with the attendance of
more than 1,500 of students’ families in an atmosphere of great happiness and delight.
