Four IUG Researchers Win Zamala Scholarship

Four IUG researchers have got Zamala scholarship; including Dr. Mazen Abu Atif, Faculty of Engineering staff member, who will have a scholarship to Torrori University in Japan; Dr. Rami Morjan, Faculty of Science staff member, who will have a research visit to Manchester Institute of Biotechnology in Britain; Dr. Jihad Hammad, who will have a research visit to King’s College London; and Dr. Khamis El-Essi, who will have a training course in Metropolitan Hospital in Philippines.

 

Zamala means” togetherness “or,” friendship,” “companionship “, that was first initiated by Bank of Palestine, in collaboration with the Welfare Association in 2012. The Zamala Fellowship Program was made possible by an initial endowment of 2$ million by the Bank of Palestine. Thirteen Palestinian universities have partnered up with the Zamala Fellowship Program.
