Dr. Nidal Jayousi, representative of EU Erasmus+ Programme, valued IUG’s efforts in research collaboration with EU universities. Jayousi’s remarks came during his visit to IU during which he met with senior University officials. Jayousi confirmed that Erasmus+ is interested in successful projects that will surely build the higher educational institutions and advance the abilities of academic staff and students.
Jayyousi referred to the outcome of the effects and benefits for improving research work and expanding the international cooperation for the higher education institutions.
Dr. Adel Awadallah, IUG President Jayousi’s efforts in supporting the research cooperation among the Palestinian universities with the aim of enhancing the abilities of academic and administrative staffs.
Dr. Nazmi El-Masri, IUG Vice President for External Relations, noted that this fruitful visit will bolster links between IUG with Palestinian universities in addition to encouraging these universities to participate in Erasmus+ projects.
Dr. El-Masri noted that the IUG is recently participating in 10 Erasmus+ projects with 10 universities from the EU from the EU region.
It is noteworthy that IUG participated as a project coordinator in E+ KA2- CBHE during 2014-2015 for a project that is titled “Enhancing the capacity of the administrative and economic research in higher education institutions in Palestine centers”, through IUG Faculty of Commerce in cooperation with 8 local and European universities.
IUG also has had partnerships with 130 universities from 17 EU countries in addition to cooperation project with 20 local universities partnerships.
