The faculty of engineering in collaboration with the Scientific Research and Higher Studies Affairs at the Islamic University of Gaza (IUG) organized a symposium to showcase the projects funded by the Middle East Desalination Research Center (MEDRC).
Vice Professor for Research Affairs Professor AbdelRaouf Mana’ma congratulated the students for their creative projects in his speech during the opening session. He stressed on the importance of these projects in future social development. On her part, head of the research department at MERDC Dr. Kharraz highlighted MERDC’s efforts in supporting creative students in the fields of water sources development and renewable energy through numerous scholarship opportunities.
The projects revolved around solutions for providing more drinkable water to the community and treating wastewater, and other environment and water-related projects.
