A Turkish delegation from the Turkish International Cooperation and Development Agency TİKA headed by Mrs. Nargis Salk, representative of Tika office in Ankara, and Polant Qurmaz, representative of TİKA office in Palestine visited Islamic University of Gaza.
During the visit, Mrs. Salk noted that “we are proud of what we do to the Palestinian people, especially the projects that are offered to the people of Gaza, such as Irada project, Turkish Palestinian Friendship Hospital”, adding that there are other projects to support students to pay their tuition fees as well as other projects sponsored by TİKA.
Prof. Adel Awadallah, IUG President received the delegation and briefed them on the University’s relations and cooperation with worldwide Universities including Turkish, European, American and British Universities. Prof. Awadallah stressed on IUG’s participation in improving the Palestinians society through the university’s long-established record in community service, notably in the fields of providing training and rehabilitation for people with special needs.
