Supported by ERASMUS+programme ( Key Action2 – Capacity building for Higher education)
Islamic University of Gaza , in cooperation with local Palestinian universities, conducted the project of Developing Business and Economic Research Centres Capacity at Palestinian Higher Education Institutions (BERC), on Monday and Tuesday, March 21-22, 2016.
The project aims at achieving a positive atmosphere for researchers so that they can conduct high quality research and provide international journals with scientific publications that meet international standards.
The project consortium constitutes 9 universities distributed among Palestine (5 universities) and the EU countries (4 universities) and the associated partner is AQAC

EU partners includes: University of Huddersfield (HUD) – UK; University of Almería (UAL)- Spain; University of L’Aquila (UNIVIQ)- Italy; KTH Royal Institute of Technology (KTH)– Sweden.

Palestinian partners include: The Islamic University of Gaza, IUG (Coordinating organization ); Al Azhar University (AUG); Birzeit University (BZU); University College of Applied Sciences (UCAS); Al- Quds Open University (QOU)
The project spans over a three-year period from 2016 to 2019.
