“Hope Neighbors” is a humanitarian initiative embraced by the Islamic University of Gaza (IUG) to draw a smile on the faces of 25 children undergoing dialysis treatment in the Gaza Strip and help them overcome their illness.

The 12-hour training programme was implemented in cooperation with several children institutions and associations addressing issues like communication skills, how to spend free time and creative thinking.

This comes as a part of the university’s work to help all sectors of society, especially people with special needs through the training programmes implemented by the deanship of Community Service and Continuous Education.

Dr. Adel Awadallah, President of the Islamic University, noted that the future university hospital has already put a plan to establish a medical center for dialysis patients to offer them the necessary services and treatment.
