IUG Submits 6 Project Proposals for Capacity Building

The External Relations Department, at IUG, , announced submission of 6 project proposals for the EU-funded Erasmus+ programme that are concerned with capacity building. In addition, IUG has formed partnerships with several local and European universities in 10 other projects.

Dr. Ahmed Muheisen, Assistant Vice President for External Relations, pointed out that these proposals were the result of cooperation between the External Relations and teams from other IUG departments. These proposals cover a wide range of topics that Erasmus+ deals with including enhancing curriculums, strengthening the relationship between the university and the community and improving university governance.

External Relations Department has worked long and hard to support the teams’ projects. The department held workshops that offered guidance on how to fill in application forms, form partnerships and prepare budgets for projects.

The results of the project proposals presented are expected to come out in August this year, as Project coordinator, Wala’ Safi, explained. nThe IUG’s External Relations hopes that these projects receive the necessary funding from Erasmus+.  This funding will help enhance the academic and administrative abilities of IUG as well as increase the international presence of the university in various academic forums.

It is worth mentioning that the university won last year a project funded by the Erasmus+ programme  in the field of the development of business administration and economics research centers in higher education institutions in Palestine (BERC) implemented through the Faculty of Commerce.
