The Islamic university of Gaza (IUG) has launched a campaign for enhancing and training visually impaired students. The training aims to enhance learning experiences in order to increase their participation in the social and academic spheres.
By establishing its Assistive Technology Center, IUG takes precedence over other Palestinian universities in integrating over 136 visually impaired students in its various programmes.
IUG is also the first Palestinian university to integrate students with hearing disabilities, as 195 students are enrolled in its professional diploma programmes.
