IUG Professor Wins Renowned Ahmed Okasha Prize

 

Arab Psychological Sciences Network has declared Dr. Samir Ramadan Quta,  Professor of Clinical Psychology in the Faculty of Education at IUG,  as the  winner of  the annual Ahmed Okasha Prize for the year 2015, for his distinguished research on  the effects of traumatic experiences on  Palestinian children.


Professor Quta has published extensively on  trauma and trauma’s  effects, especially on Palestinian children, family and  society. His research helped in providing a better understanding of Palestinian children’s psychology in relation to the cultural, political and historical contexts of the Palestinian society, and his research findings were presented at international and regional conferences.
