New Class of Students with Hearing Disabilities Joins IUG

 

Started with 120 students, IUG has recently admitted 75 new students with hearing disabilities. The new class included 56 female students and 19 females students placed in 3 sections. IUG started offering two Diploma programmes in 2015 which are particularly designed for students with hearing problems; students can be specialised either in Creative Technology or Computer and Smart Devices Maintenance.

 

Providing them with all they need, IUG’s Community Development Institute Director Mr. Khaled Kahlout welcomed the new students on the first day of the semester, “Studying is a journey. Here is the beginning of your sailing. Welcome on board, brothers and sisters. We wish you success and distinction.” The University already provides for the students an excellent educational environment, any materials they need, laboratories, training workshops, and expert sign language users.



 

Shouldering the responsibility of providing integration and equal opportunities for all students and meeting the needs of the society, IUG is the leading Palestinian university to open its doors for students with hearing disabilities according to in international standards through its unique diploma programmes in computer and smart devices maintenance and creative technology.
