In his presidential office, Dr. Adel Awadallah, IUG President, received a delegation from the Consulate General of France in Jerusalem. The delegation included Mr. Olivier Dufour, Coordination and Academic Cooperation Director in the Consulate General of France; and Ms. Samia Gharet, Universities’ Affairs Coordinator in the Consulate General of France in Jerusalem. The delegation came to review the projects of ‘Al Maqdisi’ Scholarship program funded by the French Consulate and implemented in the Faculties of Science, Health Sciences, and Engineering.
Dr. Awadallah thanked the delegation for the existing collaboration with IUG, especially the Maqdisi Scholarship program. He briefed the delegation on IUG’s academic and research developments and its external relationships with different countries. He also spoke about IUG’s different cooperation agreements, memoranda of understanding and partnership programs with these countries.
Dr Awadallah welcomed any future cooperation with the General Consulate of France in particular and academic French institutions in general.
Mr. Dufour emphasized the fact that IUG has an excellent reputation and a high level of quality and academic rigour which provide excellent opportunities for future cooperation with French universities.
