UNESCO Cultural Program Director, Mr. Ahmad Junaid Sorosh-Wali, visited IUG’s Iwan Center of the Engineering Department.
Mr. Sorosh-Wali commended the Center’s efforts in the launch of #UNITE4HERITATGE campaign. He also spoke about the importance of training and qualifying technical teams capable of the preservation and restoration of heritage.
In addition, he expressed UNESCO’s willingness to cooperate with Iwan Center and Riwaq Center for Architectural Reservation in order to hold a training workshop on rocks restoration targeting the architects and civil engineers.
