Samah Challenged disability of digging her name on  wood

 

Samah Abed Elhaleem Shaheen, 34 years old, lived in Burej camp, born with dislocated her left hand . under bad conditions, she couldn’t complete her higher study. However, she insisted on having her higher secondary certificate.

Then Samah started her university life to become a secretary; and after graduation, she looked for a job but due to her disability, she was rejected .

Samah didn’t stop and hasn’t lost hope; she has the hope after having the chance in the project of “Tamkeen” for training and employing a group of disabled peope that is conducted by Irada project, at IUG, under the supervision of UNDP.

After (6) months of training in the program of digging in wood using the computer, Samah started a second level that is supported to prepare a technical workshop in Khanyyounis .

Samah; accompanied with her team who are two of the disabled people in the local industry.

This will surely change the upset look for those who are disabled in the society.

Through this, Samah and her team depended on themselves and had a successful life that will affect their economic and social stand.
