Faculty of Engineering staff member has got the award of Isesco prize for science and culture. Dr. Hala El-khozondar, IUG Staff member at the Faculty of Engineering, has won the prize for Physics.
It is worth mentioning that ISESCO Prizes for Science and Technology are awarded annually for outstanding, pioneering researches in basic sciences (biology, chemistry, geology, mathematics and physics) and technology.
The prizes will be awarded during a special ceremony to be held at the sidelines of the 7th Islamic Conference of Ministers of Higher Education and Scientific Research, which will be held at ISESCO headquarters, in Rabat, capital-city of the Kingdom of Morocco, on 18-19 December 2014.
ISESCO Center for Promotion of Scientific Research (ICPSR) had received 84 nomination applications from science academies, national research councils, universities, as well as from technological and scientific institutes in 17 Member States in the six categories.
Dr. Mohammed Shabat, Vice IUG President for Scientific Research appreciates the role of Isesco in supporting scientific research and researchers adding that Dr. Hala deserves such a prize especially when finding that this the second time that Dr. El-khozondar has got other prizes such as Twas Medal Lectures.
