“My Home Heritage” Program for Awareness of Cultural Heritage

Architectural Heritage Center –Iwan– and A M Qattan Foundation celebrated the end of awareness program for cultural heritage “My Home Heritage”. This celebration drew his features in Hathat archaeological Palace in the old city Alshegaia area-Gaza.

The program aims to aware of the importance of Palestinian cultural heritage types, and develop the educational aids of introducing the Palestinian heritage.

The outputs of the program were the understood the relationship between the cultural and natural environments and the importance of keeping for coming generations, and the description of architectural locations beside the risks that face the Palestinian heritage.

Architectural Heritage Center –Iwan Conserve, preserve and rehabilitate architectural heritage in Gaza and increase the awareness of its importance. Conduct research, studies and training programs on architectural heritage. Communicate with national and international institutions working in the field. Produce art works which promote traditional values of Palestinian architectural heritage.

The A.M. Qattan Foundation is an independent, not-for-profit developmental organization founded in 1993. It is registered in the UK as a charity, and as a charitable company limited by guarantee. A branch of the Foundation is also registered in Palestine as a non-profit organization. This foundation aims to enlightened and tolerant society with a global presence; one that embraces dialogue and is a producer of knowledge, art and literature.
