According to the green environment standards in the international classification for the universities, IUG is number one on the Arab and Palestinian universities for the third time in the last three years.
Dr. Kamalain Sha’ath- IUG president has declared that IUG is interested in these standards through its academic programs, design and IUG buildings.
Dr. Fared El Qeq, IUG President Assistant, illustrates that we are in a hire need to apply sustainability and green environment for the challenging community conditions in the region such as the overcrowded population and energy conservation to overcome this.
Overall, IUG is concerned of the sustainable and green environment through its hard efforts to apply recycling the solid waste, reusing of wastewater , increasing bio-diversity, rationalization of energy consumption and benefiting from renewable energy sources.
