Yesterday, IUG President, Dr. Kamalain K. Sha’ath , received His Excellency Mr. Mustafa Sarnic, Turkish Ambassador in Palestine accompanied with Mr. Husamettin Arslan, Vice Consul of Consulate General of Turkey.
Dr. Sha’ath briefed the general consulate about the starting of higher education in Palestine referring to the establishment of IUG in 1978 with a very limited resources and staff adding that the university services more than 20,000 students nowadays.
Dr. Sha’ath appreciates the Turkish support to the university referring to the full donation of the University hospital and Irada Project, which is donated by the Turkish government.
The Turkish Ambassador confirms that the Turkish people is interested in supporting the Palestinian people and the higher education students assuring of the long relationship with the Islamic University of Gaza.
The Turkish Ambassador has a tour inside the university campus, Irada Project and the Turkish Palestinian Friendship Hospital, showing his admiration of what has been done in those projects.
