Supported by WAMY-Jeddah: 4th International Conference for Science and Development Started at IUG

The Faculty of Science, at IUG, started the activities of the Fourth International conference for Science and Development from 22nd till 24th of November 2011.


This conference is supported by The World Assembly of Muslim Youth-Jeddah. The opening session- which is held in the central conference hall at IUG- was attended by Dr. Mohammad Al Agha-Minister of Agriculture, Deputy Jamal Al Khodari-Chairman of Board Trustees-, Dr. Kamalain Sha’ath- President of the University-,Dr. Taleb Abu Sha’r- University Vice President for scientific research affairs-, Dr. Nizam Al Ashqar-Dean of Faculty of Science-, Dr. Zyad Abu Hean- Chairman of Preparatory Committee for the Conference-, Dr. Bashir Aqelan- Vice Dean of Faculty of science- and others.


In his speech, Dr. Al Agha confirmed to the comprehensiveness of the Islamic theory which concentrate on both the developmental and values sides. He added:” the Islamic University is a developmental experiment in human and economic development and all fields of life, and take a great care of human mind.” Also, he said that the research projects prepared by the university and its professors are very important to act the developmental process experiment in society.


Dr. Abu Hean explained that the number of participants of the conference is 220 local and foreign scientists and researchers, including 107 papers will be presented during the activities of the conference. He also pointed to the main subjects of the conference that are: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Optics, Geology and Biology.


The opening session is closed by a scientific lecture for Dr. Iad Al Kord- Lecturer in Salford Manchester university- about the latest treatment of cancer and he listed some ways to develop the medical performance in the Gaza Strip.
