Professor Dr Senol Bektas, Vice President of Near East University (NEU) together with Dr. Tayseer Al-Shanableh warmly received a 2-member delegation from IUG on February 15th, 2012.
IUG delegation included Dr Nazmi Al-Masri, Assistant Vice President for External Relations and Mr Ala’ Al-Hashim, Head of Students Scholarships at IUG Resources Development Center.
The visit is to sign and discuss further the intention of cooperation between the universities. Both Professor Dr BektaS and Dr. Al-Masri signed the agreement during the visit to Cyprus. 
The agreement promotes staff and student exchange for short and long periods as well as granting IUG full access to the electronic sources NEU grand library has. It also offers a PhD scholarship and involves other ways of collaboration related conferences and joint projects of common interests.
Dr. Al-Masri expressed his sincere thanks and pride of both Professor Bektas and Dr. Al-Shanableh for their immediate activating of the agreement .
Dr. Al-Masri also expressed his admiration of the distinguished facilities and resources NEU has, especially, the university hospital and the engineering labs. The agreement includes hosting few medical students to get training NEU hospital which has up-to-date medical equipment.
