Under the slogan of ” Unity and Building” and the auspices of Prime Minister Ismail Haniya, with graduates’ family members and friends, university officials, other academic leaders, politicians and community leaders in attendance, Islamic University of Gaza celebrated the graduation of 30th class. IUG will hold the ceremonies for its 29 class of undergraduate and postgraduate students from July 4, 2011 till July 5, 2011.
Mr. Hania expressed his commitment in supporting universities as they resemble the source of good in societies. He congratulated the graduates and their families on this occasion and added the IUG reflects a story in Palestinian society.
MP. Jamal N. Al-Khodari, Board of Trustees Chairman, named the 30th Graduated Class of ” Unity and Building” hoping that this class will participate in supporting unity and putting hands of cooperation to build the Palestinian community.
“More than 41,000 students graduated from IUG since its establishment to be the best leaders of community institutions inside and outside Gaza Strip” MP Al-Khodari added.
MP Al-Khodari thanked the Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan for his government great efforts of supporting IUG hospital project. A number of regional institutions had a big role in rehabilitating the university labs after the Israeli war on Gaza Strip
Dr. Kamalain Shaath, IUG President, confirmed that these students will forever hold a special place in IUG history as they complete their studies.
MP Al-Khodari expressed his high gratitude to the institutions that supported IUG along its 33 years journey of achievements in serving society.
Dr. Sha’ath conferred degrees upon 4,000 graduates from the Islamic University of Gaza graduated this year to be the leaders of the future.
Dr. Sha’ath added that the university offers 100 programs of study at the undergraduate, Higher Diploma and Professional Diploma in addition to postgraduate, referring to scientific research awards.
