IUG has conducted the
fourth international engineering conference for two days titled ” Towards
the engineering of twenty first century” attended by Dr. Kamalain Sha’ath
– IUG President, Eng. Yusuf El Aziz –Public Works and Housing Minister, Dr.
Mohammad El Farah- Local Government Minister, Dr. Shafeq Jindia, Engineering
Dean, Members of University Council, Dr Nabil ElSwalhi, Vice Dean, Dr. Sameer
Shata-Head of Scientific Board, Pro. Günther seliger- Berlin University and
conference guest, a great number of researchers, international, governmental,
civil and private institutions and a crowd of male and female engineering
students.

As a part of its duties
towards community in holding the scientific conferences, creating a scientific
environment to build a human civilization, Dr. Sha’ath appreciated IUG interest
at the knowledgeable communication giving the IUG 18 participations in the
Malaysian conference as an example for its leading role.
Dr.Sha’ath referred to the conference as a
scientific academic manifestation so that it is an honor for the university to
take part in the joint scientific research serving the community approving the
conference title that indicates the efforts of Engineering College in following
changes at twenty first century.
A sustainable development plan
In his turn,
Prof. Jondia mentioned that this conference has the message of unique education
in different engineering and technical fields to develop the regional and local
society providing with research and scientific applied studies.
Prof. Jondia
appreciated the wide international, regional and local participations to be 135
from Arab and European countries as: Egypt, Algeria, Iraq, Malaysia, Germany, Britain,
France, and Holland expecting it to strengthen the efforts of developing and
re-building the Palestinian community.

Engineering College achievements as winning ERASMUS MUNDUS project providing 34 scholarships in Bachelor, Master, PHD, and
after PHD to develop education quality and intercultural exchange in Palestine
associated with 20 universities around the world
Conference topics
Creating a competitive scientific climate for
researchers and to keep pace with the latest discoveries at applied
engineering, Dr. El Swalhi indicated the conference topics are: recycling and
developing of materials in construction industry, new trends in infrastructures
engineering and construction management, strategic vision and solution for
problems of water and water treatment, dynamical control systems, renewable
energy, and housing reconstruction.
