Dr. Nizam Al Ashqar-Faculty of Science Dean, at IUG, receives Paula Manduka- A researcher at Genoa university in Italy, Dr. Bashir Aqilan –Vice Dean of Faculty of science- attended the meeting.
They seek ways of cooperation with the faculty of science about making a scientific study about the injuries of people in Gaza strip that caused by war such as: congenital malformation in newborn babies and how to make use of the scientific laboratories to run this study.
Scientific lecture on Cataract
In the same context, the Department of Optometry at IUG organizes a scientific lecture on cataract – its causes, symptoms and treatment methods. Al Ashqar attended the meeting with Dr. Yosef Aqqad- Chairman of Ophthalmology of European Gaza Hospital and a specialist in ophthalmology, a group of faculty staff members in Optometry Department and the students of this department.
Besides, Dr. Aqqad appreciated the great effort of IUG and Department of Optometry for their contributing in developing the medical services for eye patients. Finally, Dr. Aqqad explained the various ways to cure this disease.
