Exhibition titled “The Innovations for Entrepreneurs”, at IUG



    Islamic University of Gaza celebrated the opening of “Exhibition of Creative Innovations for Entrepreneurs Project”and the launch of the education campaign for school students, which  organized by the project “Entrepreneurs” to develop creative ideas funded by the Cooperation Association, and sponsored by the Deanship of Community Service and Continuing Education, and Business Incubator and Technology, and the Palestinian Society for Information Technology “PICTA , “and the exhibition and activities will continue the campaign until the twenty-sixth of October 2011.



The Conference was attended by Dr. Aladdin Rafati – Minister of National Economy, Deputy Jamal N. Al Khodary – Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the University, and Dr. Kamalain K. Sha’ath – IUG President, Dr. Mohammed Abu Shakir – Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education, Dr. Fahd Rabah – Dean of community Service and continuing Education, engineer Fadi Al-hindi – the director of the cooperation establishment in the Gaza Strip, Tariq  Thabet the project Manager “Entrepreneurs”, member of university board, and a gathering of representatives of institutions and companies in telecommunications and information technology, members of the Supervisory Committee in the project “Entrepreneurs”, a large number of high school students.


 


Dr. Al Rafati expressed his appreciation of the university participation in such creative projects which contribute in the nation progress, adding that universities should incubate the people’s innovations and creativities; confirming that the circumstances of the siege forced the Palestinian people to enlarge their ability of production and creativity.



MP Al Khodary appreciated the role of the Welfare Association in supporting theEntrepreneurs” project which aimed at enabling the Palestinian citizens to create at home adding that the project of “Entrepreneurs” represents a starting point towards a true partnership with community and Arab organizations, which achieves the goal to start the steps in the process towards the adoption and care of creative projects for university students.



For his part, Dr. Sha’ath said “Today we celebrated the wedding of scientific research practice, this is represented by opening creative projects for about (30) ideas in the sector of information technology and communications, which make life more easier and beneficial, adding that this achievement has moved the Palestinian youth from the stage of the acquisition of the certificate to the stage of interaction with the community and creating projects simulate the different areas of life.


Dr. Abu Shakir said “We held hopes on the Creativities of  students to make  changes in the basic structure of society, because they posses exceptional abilities, and special features such as: self-confidence, meditation and reflection, and the tendency to solve problems in a scientific way. He called on donors in the Arab and Muslim countries to support youth initiatives and creative ideas that have the most prominent role in achieving progress and development of any society in the communities.
