Supported by UNDP: IUG opens the Legal Consultation Unit

Supported by UNDP, IUG opens the legal consultation unit “legal clinic” for the faculty of Sharia’ and Law aiming at providing the legal help for Sharia’ and Law IUG students and contacting with legitimate courts.


Dr. Mohammed Shabat-Vice President for Academic Affairs- attended the meeting with Prof. Maher Al Holi-Dean of Student Affairs, Prof. Salama Bseiso- Vice President of Palestinian Syndicate association, Prof. Ibrahim Abu Shamallah- Vice director of the Developmental project in the UNDP, Dr. Raed Salha- Director of public Relations in the University and others.


Dr. Shabat thanked the UNDP for its services to support the students in Palestinian universities assuring that such legal culture helps the students to know their historical right adding that community is in need to enhance the legal culture and to know more about the International Law.


In addition, Dr. Al Holi pointed at the main aim from this clinic which is providing the poor in Palestine with the legal consultation and providing training opportunities for students of the faculty of Sharia’ and Law for acting the legal work as well.


Prof. Abu Shamallah appreciated the role of the University for providing both students and the Palestinian community with the best services in all fields welcoming opening this kind of cooperation with IUG to help the university students in Palestine.
