Department of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, at IUG, in collaboration with the student branch of the Federation of Electrical and Electronics Engineers IEEE “” held a workshop on the services and activities provided by the student branch of the Union.
The workshop was attended by Dr. Abu Ammar Hdros – Head of Department of Electrical Engineering, and Dr. Hala El-Khozondar –the supervisor of the student branch of the Federation of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, and number of faculty members of the Electrical Engineering Department, and a group of college students .
Dr. Hdros confirmed on the importance of activating the work of the various student clubs, and spoke about the role of student clubs to provide services for students, helping them to develop their abilities and skills.
Hussein keshtah-the branch manager of the students spoke about the mechanism of “IEEE”, and the benefits that the student will get from such participation, and of reduced fees for participation in training courses, and the reduction of the subscription fees at scientific conferences .
Ahmed Helles – from student branch – introduced a presentation for the emergence of the student branch, indicating that it is the first branch, which opened in Palestine in 1999, and he explained that the student branch since its opening offers many services for students, such as specialized training courses, seminars and lectures scientific, and recreational trips .
