During his visit to Malaysia, Dr. Kamalain
Sha’ath- IUG president accompanied by Dr. Wesam El Madhoon- responsible for the
Malaysian File in the External Affairs-met a number of the Malaysian Officials.
Dr. Sha’ath has met Sheik Nick Aziz –
the first minster in Klntan state and the leader of the Islamic party, and chairman
of the Islamic board in Klentan State giving them information about IUG
establishment, its specializations, and its future developments.
Moreover, Dr. Sha’ath with advisor of
the Malaysian Prime Minister and U.M.T president and his vice presidents, and a
number of headmasters from the Malaysian education Ministry talked about the
external academic partnerships and the academic cooperation agreements with
international and regional universities.
In the same context, Dr. Sha’ath
discussed with Mr. Shahrol- director of the Malaysian youth club- the possibility
of developing the academic side related to agriculture,
organizing training courses. Besides, Dr. Sha’ath met Dr. Mosa Noor EL Deen-
Director of Viva Palestine organization looking for the joint cooperation in
scholarships.
In the same direction, Dr. Sha’ath
informed Mr. Anwar Ebrahim – the Malaysian Vice prime minster-about the circumstances
of the Palestinian high education institutions especially in Gaza Strip under
the siege. Dr. Sha’ath held another meeting with Dr. Abed El Rahman- former
cultural attaché at the Malaysian embassy in USA.
Another meeting held between Dr.
Sha’ath and Mr. Abed El Malk Qasem- Minster of religious affairs in Binang
State providing training and work opportunities for IUG graduates in areas such
as: IT, computer sciences, computer engineering, mechanical engineering, small
projects development, and connection between IUG and Malaysian information
technology centers.
In separate working meetings, Dr.
Sha’ath met Mr. Azmi- president of the Malaysian institutions, Mr. Mostafa
Mansour- manager of Malaysia- Gaza CLUB, AND Dr. Hafizi- Director of Alaqsa
institution for more joint cooperation in project development.
