Professor Mohammad Shabat- Vice President for the Academic Affairs in the IUG- participated in the annual conference for Euro-Mediterranean Universities Union in Lisbon in Portugal. Prof. Shabat attended the educational and technical tools conference to achieve the regular development and he attended the conference of “the role of the universities as well to create a better life for humanity”, which is held under the patronage of Euro-Mediterranean University.
Prof. Shabat met Prof. Josef Mifsed-Euro-Mediterranean University President- and discussed the academic relations between IUG and the Euro-Mediterranean University.
Both sides agreed on seeking ways of academic cooperation between the two universities through: joint academic courses, academic visits for teaching staff and exchanging experts between the two universities.
Prof.Shabat met Dr. Rudi Krasta-Vice President of the European Parliament- and discussed together the role of the European Parliament in helping Palestinian people and the Islamic University.
In Addition, Prof. Shabat met Prof. Antony Nova-President of Lisbon University- and discussed together possibilities for cooperation between the two universities such as: providing joint projects under the patronage of the European Union programs.
