The University of Bethlehem and the Faculty of Education in the Islamic University organized a workshop about the program of teacher preparation in colleges of education in Palestinian universities in Gaza funded by the International Bank and the E.U. A workshop held by closed-circuit television “video conferencing” in the public conference hall in Tiba building.
Professor Robert Smith – Assistant Vice President of Bethlehem University for Academic Affairs, Prof. Ezo Afaneh – Vice Dean of the Faculty of Education, at IUG, Dr. Mohammed Abdul Rahim from the Al-Aqsa University, Dr. Samar Abu Shaban from Al-Azhar University, Dr. Hala Yemeni from Bethlehem University, and a gathering of academics and specialists.
Professor Smith pointed to the importance of developing the performance and the level of classroom teacher by the use of modern methods and techniques in the teaching process in order to reach the desired goals.
Dr. Yemeni pointed that a workshop will continue for a period of 6 days, and covered several topics including, creative education and activities, scientific research as part of the process of learning and education, and the contribution of computers in the education process.
