As the visit of the first Arab
leader to Gaza since 1967, His Highness- Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani
delivered a historical speech from IUG, Gaza during his one-day visit which is
described as a great historical one.
In his word, His Highness expressed his
pleasure saying” this is the moment in which feelings are mixed while I am
standing here on the sand of the free and besieged Gaza. This city was a bridge
connecting between the Arab World parts, but not any more which makes the Arabs
feel sorry”.
He added that the historical injustice Palestinians
suffer since six decades ago represents a humanitarian catastrophe can’t be
resolved by the international community. About the Israeli attacks, Sheikh Hamad declared
that “Israel is tearing the Palestinian body through settlement and Judaization
especially in Jerusalem for the inability of separate Arab World to confront and
the international community to implement the international legitimacy resolutions. He continued “On the other hand, Israel follows double dual policy to deprive the Palestinians
from establishing their independent state on their national soil“.
Addressing the Gazans “your
resistance was a pride for all Arabs … we were with you before and after the aggression, Sheikh Hamad
confirmed that Gaza strip is the most suffering under the imposed siege and the
harmful effects of the latest war indicating that their resistance was a lesson
for nudity cowardice yielding the Arab spring.
Demanding the Palestinians represented by Mahmoud Abass –
president of the Palestinian authority and Khaled Meshal- Head of Hamas
Political Bureau to achieve Conciliation
honestly, the emir of
Qatar encouraged the Palestinians to think deeply of
their reality to realize that diversity is a great damage for their cause.
In the same context, he
clarified Qatar situation toward the
Palestinians saying” Arab support for you is not a favor but it’s the
human and national duty of the brother to his brother in which Qatar will be the first initiator
giving the priority to Gaza reconstruction”.
After that, he valued the great
efforts of Egypt thanking its president- Dr. Mohammad Morsi , its people, and its
glorious revolution which allow him to be here in Gaza . At the end of his
historical speech , His Highness greets the Palestinians with ” may Allah
greets you as you deserve”
