Dr. Mofeed Al Mokhalalati- Dean of faculty of Medicine at IUG- participated in the conference of evaluating the educational program in the colleges of health for the Eastern Mediterranean Region- World Health Organization-which is organized by the department of Human Resources Development-Regional Office- and the International Federation “AMEEMRE”. The Medical Education Association- the Eastern Mediterranean Region- participated also with the Arab Council for Medical Majors as well as researchers from 18 countries W.F.M.E for medical education.
Dr. Al Mohkalalati, Dr. Samar Mismar-Vice Dean of Faculty of Medicine at Al Najah University and Dr. Amal Abo Auad- Dean of Faculty of Nursing at Ibn Sina College- presented Palestine in the conference. The conference discussed the means of medical education and the agreement on the practical ways to put the Palestinian medical colleges in the list of Ibn Sina which is internationally recognized.
In addition, Dr. Al Mokhalalati visited the Red Crescent in Qatar and he met Mr. Saleh Al Muhanadi –Red Crescent Executive Manager in Qatar-, Dr.Khalid Diab- Director of the international relations in the Red Crescent in Qatar- and Mrs. Yousra Bo Ghati- Deputy Director of the international Relations. Both sides discussed some issues related to the medical education in Gaza Strip and the project of health that are related to the Qatari Red Crescent in Gaza generally and the faculty of Medicine at IUG in particular. They both discussed the possibilities of discussing the distance medical practice project.
Dr. Al Mokhalalati also visited Jordan and met Prof. Azmi Mohafza- Dean of faculty of medicine at the Jordanian University- and Dr. Daradka- Dean of faculty of medicine at Science and Technology University-. They discussed together ways of cooperation between the three universities.
Besides that, Dr. Al Mokhalalati visited Egypt and met Dr. Mohammad Al Khayat- Counselor Regional Director for MOH. He also visited faculty of medicine at Cairo University.
