Dr. Samir Afifi- Professor of Environment and Earth Sciences at the IUG Faculty of Science participated in the 5th International Perspective on Water Resources & the Environment Conference (IPWE 2012), January 4-7, 2012, Marrakech, Morocco.
Dr. Afifi presented two papers; including:” Climate change and vulnerable communities in the Eastern Mediterranean: a case study on the Gaza Strip”, other paper is entitled “Management needs of agricultural of water in light of climate change within the Gaza Strip. “
This participation came within the CLIMB research project funded by the European Union – the Seventh Framework Programme FP7 – Research cooperation projects: environment and climate, which is supervised by the Faculty of Science at the Islamic University in Gaza.
