His Excellency Deputy Jamal Al Khodari- IUG Board Trustees accompanied with Dr. Kamalain Sha’ath- IUG President received Dr. Jihad Al Wazeer- Governor of Palestinian Monetary Authority-. The meeting by was attended by Mr. Khalid al Hindi-Secretary of IUG Board Trustees, Dr. Yihia Al Saraj- IUG Vice President for Administrative Affairs and Dr. Ali Shaheen- Assistant of Vice President for Academic Affairs.
Deputy Al Khodari talked about the IUG in work with the spirit of challenge and insisting on seeking progress and achievement. Also, he pointed to the importance of communication with local and international foundations in developing communities.
Dr. Sha’ath briefed the delegation about the achievements of IUG students pointing to the role of ” Al Kitab” channel in highlighting students’ talents through ” Touch of Creativity” program.
From his turn, Dr. Al Wazeer congratulated the IUG for being the FIRST among Arab countries and the SIXTY –FIFTH internationally in WORLD UNIVERSITY RANKING according to Sustainability Concepts. He also appreciated the IUG enormous efforts in providing the best services for students and the Palestinian community as well.
Additionally, Dr. Al Wazeer presented a scientific lecture for students of faculty of Commerce in IUG about the Economical and Financial Development in the Palestinian Banking System in the light of the global financial crisis. The lecture was hold on the general conference hall in Taiba building with the attendance of: His Excellency deputy al Khodari, Dr. Kamalain Sha’th, Mr. Majed al Bayed, Dr. Ali Shaheen, Dr. Khalid al Bohesi and other members of teaching staff and students from the faculty of Commerce.
Dr. Al Wazeer explained the challenges that face Gaza Strip in the economical and financial fields pointing to the role of the Palestinian Monetary Authority in developing the work inside the Palestinian Banking System in the light of the global financial crisis.
