Architecture Heritage Center (IWAN), at the Faculty of Engineering, at IUG, signed a cooperation agreement with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), to conduct the third stage of “developing ancient houses in the old town” project.
On behalf of IWAN center, Dr. Ahmed S. Muheisen, Director of IWAN center, signed the agreement and Mrs. Christina Barbara Im Stadt – Mission Director of the Red Cross in Jerusalem, on behalf of ICRC.
According to the agreement, IWAN center will be following up conducting work stages due to a timed plan in the project; in addition to coordinating with people and owners of antiquities houses to start working as well as documenting project work to facilitate any obstacle during work.
It is noteworthy that the International Committee of the Red Cross funded the implementation phases of the project through offering workers and technicians’ wages; in addition to offering materials and tools required for implementation.
