A delegation from the faculty of Engineering of the Islamic University of Gaza(IUG) has participated ,recently, at the international forum “URBAN PLANNING”, which was organized by Al-Mousela University of Algeria in the eighth and ninth of December,2010.
The faculty was represented by: Dr. Abed Al Kareem Mehsen, professor of architectural engineering, Dr. Ahmed Mohesin, Professor of architectural engineering.
The delegation has met Dr. Al-Yazeed Abawy, Head of Al-Mousela University, Prof. Khalafallah Bu Joma’a, president of the forum.
During the forum, Dr. Mehsen has delivered a worksheet on the Palestinian refugees camps between reality and aspirations as a case study for Al-Shati’ camp in Gaza. Dr. Mohesin has delivered ,also, a worksheet on the impact of construction materials on architectural designs of houses in the Gaza Strip.
The delegation ,during its participation at the forum, has discussed the importance of activating the scientific exchange between the two universities through the participation at evaluating theses ,especially, of master.
It is worthy mentioned that Dr. Abed Al- Kareem Mehsin was nominated as essential member of the journal of urbanization and urban technology.
